The profession of landscape architecture has been a long-held dream for me and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have an occupation that is also my hobby. As my goal is to strive for excellence in my chosen field, I would like to broaden my experience and to explore new ideas and learn new concepts in garden design in a foreign country.

    Since the beginning of the year 2014 I have been working closely with Ing. Radek Otevrel Ph.D., who is a landscape architect in the Czech Republic. I have assisted with the design of several private gardens and have seen the projects thought to their realization.

Some of the projects i'm proud with
EDUCATIONAL EXCURSIONS

I have participated in several university field excursions. The primary focus of some of these trips was the students' familiarization with subtropical and tropical landscapes and plant communities and other activities..

The result of these journeys for me was not only enhanced knowledge of plants and ecosystems that are foreign to my country of origin, but also a fundamental shift in my entire world-view. Now I want to understand the landscape and enjoy its uniqueness and specificity. I have learnt to use nature as a source of inspiration and enrichment.

11/2014 Sicily and South Italy

Two-weeks-long excursion by Faculty of Agriculture focused on exploration of volcanic landscape, ancient architecture and natural resources.

Nature reserve/parks: Del Zingaro, Monte Cofano, Madonia, Etna, Vulcano etc.
Excursions: Salt processing (Trattoria del Salle, Trapani), Extraction of sulfur (Trabia - Tallarita)
Architecture: Segesta, Valle dei Templi - Agrigento, Enna, Cefalu, Noto, Syrakusy

10/2013 Zambia and Zimbabwe (Africa)

Month-long excursion by Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology. We took part in excursions in diffrent companies concerned with wood industry, producers of furniture, forestry or agricultural. We visited for example corporation Kalonga Estates (Zambia) with huge banana plantation and Zambia Keshu Company (Mongu District), Forestry comission (Zimbabwe) and Ministry of Agriculture (Mongu, Zambia).

We helped in non-profit institution NJOVU for one week. We learned families how to plant trees and why it is important for them and for the nature and we established herbal garden with children.

We explored a lot of National Parks like Kafue NP, Blue Lagoone NP, Kariba Lake etc. In Victoria Falls NP we took educational programme from The Wildlife Trust.

11/2011 Vietnam

Three-weeks-long excursion by Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology focused on subtropical and tropical vegetation and rainforests on the north and middle of Vietnam.

We explored natural fainforests in Sapa District, Yok Don National Park where is half-decicuous forest and other interesting places like Ha Long Bay on the coast. We also visited botanical garden and other places in Hanoj city, Pleiku and Son La, where we planted trees in a forest.

INSPIRATION


I have also traveled extensively through other countries, visiting a number of world-famous private gardens, parks and urban places looking for inspiration and further understanding.

5/2012 Italian gardens and architecture

Two-weeks-long excursion by Faculty of Horticulture during which we studied lots of gardens and cities like Florence, Roma - Villa Medici, Venice, Villa Maritima, Caserta, Villa d`Este, Villa Garzoni (Collodi) or Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore.

5/2011 English gardens and architecture

Two-week-long excursion by Faculty of Horticulture. There we visited a lot of exceptional gardens and landscapes by Lancelot Capability Brown and other famous architects.
We also studied urban places and parks in Bath and London like Barier Park, Docklands, Hyde Park etc.

Gardens: Castle Howard, Studley Royal, harewood, Chatsworth, Biddulph Grange Garden, Rousham, Blenheim, Stowe, Hampton Court, Stourhead, Petworth Park etc.
